Envisioneer Express is a design software created as a guide for home design. Unlike most mainstream 3-D home design software, Envisioneer Express was created for laymen in the field and doesn't require special training to quickly become proficient.

With this software, it is easy for users to create floor plans and play with decorating options. Envisioneer Express makes it easy to recreate your own home or come up with something completely unique.

A popular use for Envisioneer Express is to test out the effects of interior design projects before implementing elements. It is much easier to test out big changes like wall color and furniture placement with the program than in real life.

However, Envisioneer Express is also an idea tool to use to show a designer or architect what you have in mind for a new home or home project. Mock-ups created by Envisioneer Express are accurate and can be an invaluable design tool.

It should be noted that Envisioneer Express is very different from computer-assisted design tools that are so prominent in the design industry. These programs take training and time to learn. Envisioneer Express on the other hand is very easy to learn. In fact, it was targeted toward people without design experience. This makes it much less powerful but also much more accessible for the average user.

The design process begins by setting up the floor plan of the area you are outlining. This could simply be a single room or an entire home or office. Then, you can set up the wall structure of the floor plan. Next, adding entrances, exits and windows is as simple as dragging them on to the floor plan. Envisioneer Express can be used in both 2-D and 3-D. Although the 3-D can give a user a great deal of perspective into what the results of a project will look like, it is also very difficult to navigate. Ostensibly, the powering force behind the software is not powerful enough to easily handle the load that 3-D rendering requires.

Nonetheless, Envisioneer Express is a simple CAD inspired software that laymen can use to help create new, functional home designs.
